Dont miss Mixed-Reality Event

The next NetSquared Net Tuesday (July 18) will be a chance to participate in genuine "mixed-reality event." That means that you can participate two ways:

  1. If you’re in the Bay Area come to 322 Ritch St., San Francisco, starting at 6:00 pm and join the so-called "real" crowd of mingling flesh-and-blood people. I’ll be there interviewing the evening’s moderators for the Net Tuesday podcast.
  2. Enter TechSoup’s Annex in Second Life at 6:00. Be sure to bring your avatar for that scene.

The two events will be happening simultaneously. It’ll be a demonstration and experience for nonprofits thinking of starting some community presence is Second Life or other virtual reality environment. In fact, they will be unveiling the directory of nonprofit organizations active in Second Life. Prominent among them will be your own American Cancer Society. We’re holding our third Relay for Life in Second Life this month.
