A Wired article reviews whole categories of services and programs that Google has launched that are threatening long established software companies and conventional intenet services. It’s a good companion piece to an earlier post about the scope of Google services (out of date in just one week).
For my money, Google is the paradigm-setter of the decade the way Microsoft was the setter in the ’90s. They’re smacking everybody on the side of the head and yelling, "Wake up!! Think different!"
Good for Google (though they’ll come to be the company we love to hate like Microsoft).
