Year End Fundraising for the Future?

So recently the non profit I created “Lights.Camera.Help.” applied for it’s 501c3 app. (KNOCKS ON WOOD!). The amazing Aaron Bramley filled the bad boy out and we all contributed out parts. I helped on the “Future Fundraising” section. Here’s what I put down. So what am I missing?

mail solicitations

We intend to build up capacity within the next three years to start soliciting donors by postal mail. We will do this by collecting physical and mailing addresses. These campaigns will mirror our online campaigns but be done less frequently. People will have the option to opt out of these campaigns as easily as they opt out of online ones. It is predicted that older donors and donors without Web access will still want to receive these physical mailings. This will continue for the foreseeable future.

email solicitations

Starting in FY 2009-2010 we will solicit online constituents through emails for donations using an online software called Kimbia. Using this software we will solicit online donation in a secure, SSL encrypted environment. Our donor list is made up of people who purchased tickets from our events, personal friends, fans and family and is rapidly expanding. It is currently managed by a secure email service called MailChimp. This will continue for the foreseeable future.

personal solicitations

Starting in 2009-2010 we will solicit donation from personal friends and family members. They will donate through check, cash or online using a credit card. This will continue for the foreseeable future.

foundation grant solicitations

Once granted our 501c3 application we will seek volunteers to help us apply for grants from established foundation in our state as well as Nationwide. This will continue for the foreseeable future.
