CLUED IN ON CHARITY

Foundation Source, a Fairfield, Conn.-based company that offers turnkey services for financial advisors, has come up with "The Gifting Game", a board game that engages the family in philanthropy.  The objective of the game is to help the family decide how best to allocate a limited pool of funds to a group of charities selected by family members.  Participants soon discover which causes are truly important to them, and learn to work together to find common ground.

Experience has shown that the younger the children are when they become involved in philanthropy, the more ingrained it becomes.
