Austin AIR is back…you should enter.

From one of our loyal readers:

I’m on the advisory board for AIR Austin, and the competition is coming up again this year. (AIR-Austin was developed by the nonprofit organization Knowbility, whose mission is to support the independence of children and adults with disabilities by promoting accessible information technology.)

Here’s the link for the event: http://www.knowbility.org/air-austin/

Anyway the competition involves pairing up local nonprofits with local web design and development teams. Basically, for a $100 registration fee, the nonprofit gets:

  • A website developed by local web professionals
  • Training on web accessibility standards and basic website maintenance
  • One free year of web hosting (optional)

· Public recognition at AIR-Austin events.
