Just want to take a minute to introduce myself as I begin authoring in this FI Space. I have been actively involved in the American Cancer Society for the past 20 years as a volunteer serving as President of the local unit , regional board, and Chairman of the California Division.
My topic is going to mainly address volunteerism and leadership. The American Cancer Society’s unique strength and quality lies in the relationship between volunteers and staff at every level of the organization. In order to reach our full potential we strive to provide an environment in which volunteers and staff work together to reach their full potential.
I look forward to working with the other authors and explore innovative approaches to the topic of volunteerism and leadership. One of the authors is extremely close to me, as my husband Edward Duke writes to you on Fundraising & NPO. Volunteering for ACS is definitely a family affair!
