Rise in Hispanics and Asian-Americans Is Predicted

Here’s a demographic update from the NY Times for populations in the US.

The Hispanic and Asian-American populations in the United States are expected to triple by 2050, when non-Hispanic whites would account for the barest majority, according to a Census Bureau report to be released Thursday.

By 2050:

Total US pop: 420 million (282 m now)
Hispanic pop: 24.4%
Non-Hispanic white: 50.1%
Black: 14.6%
Asian-American: 8%

But, hey, with the inter-mixing of genes I see in urban areas, how meaningful will those categories be?
