The Ceremony of Hope…Online

If you’ve ever participated in a Relay For Life event, you know about the Ceremony of Hope. This is the activity that holds a great deal of meaning and significance for each participant. This is the time when participants light luminaries and stop to remember, honor and/or celebrate their cancer story.

Today, to celebrate the upcoming National Cancer Survivor’s Day (June 4), and to bring the power of the Ceremony of Hope to everyone, we’re launching the Illuminate Hope site. This interactive site (www.cancer.org/lighthope) allows visitors to create a virtual luminaria in honor, support or memory of someone touched by cancer.

Visit Illuminate Hope and spread the word about the fight against cancer! Add it to your blog, send it to your co-workers and volunteers, etc.
