Nonprofits team up

Nonprofits and advocacy groups have joined forces to oppose proposed Federal Election Commission rules they say would limit nonprofit advocacy. The rules would affect nonprofit independent political committees, known as 527s, but the FEC is considering whether to include 501(c)3 and 501(c)4 nonprofits, says Independent Sector, a national coalition of nonprofits.
