Hello All!
Just wanted to take a second to introduce a new interview series that I am starting here on 501derful.org. This new interviews series will explore how Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Dogecoin are affecting the nonprofit world, explore what the risks and benefits are, and the tax implications for nonprofits accepting them.
This was all prompted by a PwC Consumer Intelligence report where we surveyed over 1,000 US customers about their attitudes around Bitcoin. You can check out the report and survey here.
I think this is a fascinating field for nonprofits to start to look at and at least understand. No one is saying you need to enable this on your donation forms tomorrow, but we want you to start to understand it’s implications for the future of fundraising. Stay tuned for more!
