Don’t ask me why. That’s a lot of ladies in power suits in one room for me. But read on. This issue is packed with a ton of great content about the landscape of Central Texas nonprofits. You can read the best nonprofit magazine in the world here.

Yes, they do a lot of good things, but they are sorority girls “grown” up. As a former sorority girl I’m a little frightened, too 🙂
Well, I think the power suit (not suite, unless you were talking about the room itself) comment is a little stereotypical. I usually wear a dress and cardigan or jeans to my JL meetings.
In addition to learning how to spell/use the proper word, I think you should educate yourself on the Junior League:
“Founded in 1901 by Mary Harriman, the Junior Leagues are charitable nonprofit organizations of women, developed as civic leaders, creating demonstrable community impact.
Today, The Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. is comprised of more than 160,000 women in 292 Junior Leagues throughout Canada, Mexico, the UK and the USA. Collectively, we constitute one of the largest, most effective volunteer organizations in the world.”
So don’t be afraid, be comforted. We’re out there doing the work that so many people ignore/avoid. We’re united, mobilized, and changing the world!
