As many of my colleagues know, I love the ACS Futuring and Innovation Center (FICenter) and in particular, their Springboard program (okay, I’m a bit biased since I was funded through this program a few years ago).
While the number is growing, I’m still amazed that there are so many corporate/nonprofit entities that don’t similarly invest in this type of forward thinking. I’m curious to learn more about the organizations that are working to identify, promote, and develop innovation in house.
Here is one example — from Virgin. Does anyone know of any others?
Companies are always talking about innovation, but finding the specifics is not so easy. One good source about innovation is the Innovation Hub at Corante
Nonprofits are another matter. I wonder if innovation is perceived as important in most nonprofits where competition isn’t as stiff.
