Gaming for Change

Have you heard of http://freerice.com/If you’re not familiar, FreeRice is a game. You answer questions on English vocabulary, world geography, or a host of other options, and for every correct response you give, their advertisers (very unobtrusive) donate 10 grains of rice to the UN World Food Programme.

Doesn’t sound like much, does it? But since it’s launch in 2007, FreeRice has donated 75,185,220,620 grains of rice!

That’s gaming for good – and the fine folks at NTEN have got Suzanne Seggerman, Co-founder of Games for Change, to talk about her experiences and answer your questions about using video games for tackling social issues at our next Ask the Expert Session.

> Register today! It’s FREE for NTEN Members

When: Monday, February 22nd, 11 am PT / 2 PM ET

Cost: FREE for NTEN Members!
