For most of us it’s simply not. However there is an increasing trend of events that offer you to take in an idea or concept and refine it with experts. We talk about this in the next book I am writing, such as accelerator programs (like the one I am involved with at PwC) or startup incubators, but here’s an upcoming chance for you social impact folks to do it as well.
It’s called INNOVATE HOUSTON and it’s being hosted by one of my favorite accelerators, CivicX. I’ve written about them before, and it’s somewhere I love being a mentor at. The premise works a little bit like a Hackathon. You enter with a challenge, explore solutions and leave with a working prototype to test on Monday.
Interested? I know you are. Learn more about it with the graphic below, and you can register for it here: http://cvcx.org/accelerate-houston-2/
