Wonder why GOOGLE needs to raise even more money? If BUSINESS 2.0 is correct it is in order to build a national Broadband network. Add WI-FI and WI-MAX for mobility and internet phone service and they would dominate communications and advertising completely. Not a bad move
One way to think about the internet is that it is a massive, parallel computing system with a very loosely constructed operating system. So Google is the company that seems to be focusing on stitching that OS together. They may come to rival Microsoft, the king of the old desk-top OS. I’ve got mixed feelings about that; I think we all will in the long run.
