More about Blogs. Looks like someone has invented the world’s first Political Blog engine. It’s called What’s Making Blog News, although not very descriptive, it’s the first site that lists the main stories making the rounds on political blogs. Unlike other meta sites like Blogdex or Daypop, What’s Making Blognews concentrates only on political issues.

Bloggers Assail Movable Type's New Pricing Scheme

Bloggers Assail Movable Type’s New Pricing Scheme

Say it’s ain’t so. Looks like our own Moveable Type is turning on it’s community. Instead of having one of the world’s best free programs it’s now starting to charge people a hefty new fee. Will the blogging community take this? We will have to wait to find out.

It's A Blog World After All

An article from Fast Company.

Blogs were once the domain of angst-ridden teens and doomed presidential candidates. But the likes of Verizon, IBM, Microsoft, and Dr. Pepper are all climbing on the blogwagon. Turns out, Web logs are a nifty knowledge-management tool. And companies also see them as a promising medium for advertising (naturally).

To me the big breakthrough about blogging in the workplace would be a new level of participation and candor in communicaton. I’m a skeptic about blogging to the public for marketing purposes. Blogging is about being wide open in communication–not very compatible with marketing.

Toothing

A few months ago I mentioned TunA, a Bluetooth enabled MP3 player that allows users in close proximity to trade songs via the Bluetooth radio frequency. I also suggested that this technology could become a hot way to meet people in dense populated areas such as subways and conferences. Both of these bold predictions came true.

In Great Brittan people are using the Bluetooth technology to find dates while on the tube trains. There is even a weblog dedicated to the phenomenon now called ‘Toothing’.
