Come listen to my ramblings at SXSW

That’s not an order. It’s a request. I’ll be speaking about Digital /Social Strategy as well as the ethics of crowdfunding. In fact we will try and crowdshape the first “bill of rights” for crowdfunding consumers LIVE in our session. Would love to have everyone attend! SXSW is also featuring my book in their bookstore, “The Future of Nonprofits: Innovate and Thrive in the Digital Age.”

I’ll also be hosting the official SXSW Nonprofit and Social Innovation Meetup. Either way come say hello.

It’s time for SXSW Voting!

It’s that time of year again! This year I need you help supporting some great folks who have some very cool stories to tell.

The first panel I would love your vote on is all about herding your internal employees and using the power of internal social collaboration networks to make that happen. The next panel is how big brands have their legal and social media teams working together to get content out faster than ever.

Both are full of great speakers, best practices and case studies. Take a second and do the following:

1) Vote THUMBS UP on both of the panels

2) Leave a comment on both panels.

3) Look on the right side of the pages and tweet/facebook out your favorite out of the two!

What do you love about Austin? Film it.

What should Austin save? It is an important question for a city growing so dramatically. Starting Friday, October 22, the National Trust for Historic Preservation will roll its video cameras at locations across town with one goal in mind – to capture your answers. Join them at one of their 13 meet-ups and speak your mind about the city you call home. What places define it? What do you want the future to look like? Austin Social Media Club at KLRU

I’m lucky enough to be a volunteer leader over at the Austin Social Media Club. We had a great opportunity to do something good out in our community and we volunteered at KLRU, which is our local PBS station. Here are some clips from that night.
